    I understand what you mean Turker and I agree that women shouldn’t be forced to wear these scarves, but in my opinion the overly passionate way you talk about this makes you a fundamentalist as well.
    I know of muslim women who wear the scarf because they want to, one of those women has a sister who doesn’t wear the scarf because she doesn’t want to. At least some muslim women wear the scaves because they want to and I believe they have the right to do so, if it’s their own personal choice. The girl in the picture, wearing the white scarf, might be like those girls, it could be that she’s wearing the scarf because she chose to do so and not because she’s being forced to do it.

    Thank you for understanding me,one thing l need to express, today women can wear headscarfs or whatever they want freely in the streets of Turkey but tomorrow when the things has changed they may not allow go out without headscarfs.

    I am proud to be half turkish and half pakistani (because of my mother being turkish and my father being from pakistan). Both these countries have very much in common as far as girls are concerned. Girls in turkey are modern not only in their dresses, but also in their thinking and their outlook as well. Similar is the case in most pakistani cities as well. And don’t compare turkish people with the arabs. Turkish are much like the europeans in their outlook towards daily life and at the same time much closer to the arabs as far our and religious or spiritual life is concerned. So please don’t mix the two together. We definitely deserve to be europeans and muslims at the same time. Turkey is a secular nation and I firmly believe that it will remain so in the future as well.
